Emergency Services
In a multi-agency, all-hazards environment, achieving Operational Synergy and cohesion requires not only tactical interoperability but a common way of thinking. True preparedness - whether for natural disasters, crime, or acts of terrorism - requires building a common cloth of culture that builds and reinforces team resiliency, error-correction, leadership development, effective communication, and accountability.
Mission-Centered Solutions offers a family of interconnected programs for building teamwork and resiliency in ground response teams and command teams. These programs work together to build compatible operational doctrines and philosophies, shared values, and a common vocabulary.
Most fundamental to the effort of building a resilient culture is developing first-line supervisors and decision-makers. First-line leaders are the keepers, promoters, and perpetuators of your organization's culture. Leading Emergency Responders establishes a core leadership value set and expectations for first-line emergency response team supervisors while reinforcing good practices already in place. This program institutes a core of cultural expectations that have long-term positive effects - an effort critical for building Operational Synergy.
Building on the core skills and concepts established in MCS's Leading Emergency Responders, we deepen and broaden the concept of Operational Synergy by developing leadership skills specific to leading assembled resources in the stressful incident environment built on temporary systems. Incident Leadership is designed for leaders tasked with unique challenges posed by small- to medium-sized evolving incidents. |
